We are delighted to have Alison Leber join us in this new wine/food educational experience, sharing the ins and outs of what makes cheese delicious and unique!
Alison is affiliated with Les Dames d’Escoffier and the American Cheese Society. Recently, Alison became a member of the 2018 class of the American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Sensory Evaluators® (ACS CCSE®) and is an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional® (ACS CCP®). Currently, there are only 30 people in the world who hold the title of ACS CCP, CCSE.
Alison grew up surrounded by amazing Washington winemakers, including Bob & Cathy Betz. Growing up in the wine industry, her passion for wine is as equally strong as her passion for cheese!
We will begin the event with a mix and mingle, enjoying a glass of Quinta Essentia Chenin Blanc at the private residence. Together we will learn about pairing cheese and wine. We will have the opportunity to taste a variety of cheeses, sip Betz red wines while discussing which wines pair best! At the end, we will learn how to build a fabulous charcuterie platter incorporating the cheese.
